Linda Staten Herbert
(August 4, 1943 - January 22, 2019)

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Staten Herbert of North Carrollton will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, at Carrollton
Baptist Church in Carrollton, with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton.  Rev. Ed McDaniel will officiate the
services.  Pallbearers will be Dan Bowman, Rainey Bowman, Lee Herbert, Greg Staten, Shane Whitfield, and Matt Whitfield.

Visitation will be Friday, January 25, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home; and Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until service time, at
the church.

Mrs. Herbert, 75, passed away at her sister-in-law's home in Grenada on Tuesday, January 22.  She was born in West, Mississippi,
on August 4, 1943, to John Clifton and Mozelle McBride Staten.  She was a retired teacher and an active member of Carrollton Baptist
Church, where she served as treasurer for 13 years.  Mrs. Herbert was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Lee
Herbert; and her daughter, Laurianne Herbert.

Survivors include two daughters, Hollie Spellman of Carrollton and Stacie Rector (Randy) of Brandon; one son, Dave Herbert (Angela)
of Brandon; three brothers, John Staten (Kay) of Grenada, Charlie Staten (Bonita) of Greenwood, and Andy Staten (Kay) of Arizona;
eight grandchildren, Brennan Sparks, Talbert Spellman, Lawson Spellman, Chance Herbert, Landon Herbert, Hannah Rector, Staten
Rector, and Mason Rector; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carrollton Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 5, Carrollton, MS  38917;
