Jane Randle Johnson
(October 11, 1929 - August 8, 2018)

Jane Randle Johnson, 88, of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on August 8, after a short illness.  She was born in Winona on
October 11, 1929, to Lamar W. and Claudia Ware Randle.  She was raised in Winona and lived there until her late 20s.

Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Delta State University and taught school at Friars Point and Kilmichael.  After marrying Kermit Johnson of
Carrollton, she relocated to Memphis, Tennessee.

Mrs. Johnson was a true daughter of the South, living in Athens, Georgia; Olive Branch, Mississippi; and most recently, Canton, Georgia.  
She was active in many churches, including Moore Memorial United Methodist in Winona, Colbert United Methodist Church in Colbert,
Georgia, and Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Nesbit.  She was instrumental in starting the youth choir in Colbert, and was an
active member in all her congregations.  Mrs. Johnson was known as a kind and generous soul, who willingly helped others.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Kathy Windon and son-in-law, James Windon, of Canton, Georgia; and her granddaughter,
Melissa Windon of Overland Park, Kansas.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters;and one brother.

After a private ceremony, interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.
