Ella Mae Beckwith
(December 21, 1924 - April 26, 2017)
Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Mae Beckwith of Carrollton will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with
burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Rev. Ferrell Wilson, assisted by Rev. Joseph Sansing, will officiate the services.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, from 11:30 a.m. until service time.
Mrs. Beckwith, 92, died at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada on Wednesday, April 26. She was born in Corinth,
Mississippi, on December 21, 1924, to Carroll P. and Laura McCluskey Strachan. She was a homemaker and loved being a mother. She
loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren unconditionally and enjoyed spending time with
them at every opportunity. Mrs. Beckwith enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, and crafts. She was a member of Grenada Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Dale Beckwith and Billy Wayne Beckwith; three
great-grandchildren, Adam Mitchell, Randel Simmons, and Liam Sullivan; and her former husband, Raymond Beckwith.
Mrs. Beckwith is survived by her children, R. C. Beckwith (Linda) of Winona, Joe Beckwith (Evelyn) of Carrollton, Brenda Tredente (Tony) of
Mandeville, Louisiana, Elaine Sullivan (Sidney) of Madison, Sherry Sullivan (James) of Holcomb, and Gary Beckwith (Evelyn) of Black
Hawk; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Beckwith, Anthony Beckwith, Ricky Beckwith, Randall Beckwith, Logan Beckwith, and Matthew Sullivan.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Sullivan, Sidney Sullivan, and Tony Tredente.
