Malinda Sparkman
(July 9, 1955 - January 19, 2018)

Funeral services for Malinda Sparkman of LaVergne, Tennessee, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 22, in the Oliver Funeral Home
Chapel, with burial following in Midway Cemetery near Vaiden.  Rev. Philip McRae and Bro. Durward Stanton will officiate the services.

Visitation will be Monday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time, at Oliver Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sparkman, 62, died at her home on Friday, January 19.  She was born in West Memphis, Arkansas, on July 9, 1955, to Johnny and Sara
Jo Grissom, both of whom preceded her in death.  She was a nurse for over 30 years and a member of Miracle Baptist Church in LaVergne,
Tennessee.  Mrs. Sparkman loved bowling, was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing games on her tablet.

Mrs. Sparkman is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Harry Sparkman of LaVergne, Tennessee; daughters, Tara Howell (Chris)
and Laura Sparkman, both of LaVergne, Tennessee; sister, Joni Ashford (Bubba) of Potts Camp; grandson, Dakota Jones; and her best
friends, Gayle Self of Vaiden and Lou Deslatte of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
