R. C. Rainey
(April 30, 1939 - July 2, 2018)

Funeral services for Mr. R. C. Rainey, 79, of Duck Hill will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with
burial following in the Rainey Family Cemetery in Duck Hill.  Rev. Tim Buchanan will officiate the services.  Pallbearers will be Josh
Rainey, Matthew Rainey, Andrew Rainey, Ryan Taylor, Payton Williams, Landon Harbin, and Patrick Williams.  Honorary pallbearers will
be Kason Rainey and Layten Williams.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 7, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.

Mr. Rainey died at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada on Monday, July 2, 2018.  He was born in Ripley, Mississippi, on
April 30, 1939, and was the son of the late A. C. and Mildred Ruth Glisson Rainey.  He was a house mover and builder.  Mr. Rainey was
preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Pannell Rainey.

Mr. Rainey is survived by his daughters, Deborah Tartt of Grenada, Tammie Taylor of Duck Hill, and Bridget Williams of  Duck Hill; his
sons, Gregory Rainey of Duck Hill and Ronnie Rainey of Duck Hill; one sister, Dorothy Gates of Ripley; twelve grandchildren; seventeen
great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Aubrey Rainey Fund for Biliary Atresia Research, c/o Texas Children's Hospital, 1919 S.
Braeswood, Suite 5214, Houston, TX  77030.
