Colie Jean Bennett Timbs
(September 13, 1936 - May 4, 2017)

Funeral services for Mrs. Colie Jean Bennett Timbs of Duck Hill will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, at Duck Hill Baptist Church in
Duck Hill, with burial following in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near Duck Hill.  Rev. Tim Buchanan will officiate the services.  Visitation will be
at the church on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

Mrs. Timbs, 80, died at her home on Thursday, May 4.  She was born in Sweatman, Mississippi, on September 13, 1936, to James
Coleman and Mary Collins Bennett.  She was a former employee of Pennaco Hosier Mill in Grenada and a member of Duck Hill Baptist
Church.  She adored her family and loved antiques and auctions.  Mrs. Timbs also enjoyed bluegrass music and gardening.  Mrs. Timbs
was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Fletcher Timbs; and two sisters, Mattie Nell Blakely and Jennifer Ann Laster.

Mrs. Timbs is survived by two daughters, Charlene Dawson (Gary) of Duck Hill and Janet Spiers (Dwight) of Perkinston; one son, James
Timbs (Kim) of Winona; three sisters, Mary Waugh of Duck Hill, Willie Pearl Artman of Grenada, and Rachel Eastridge of Meridian; one
brother, William "Punk" Bennett of Duck Hill; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jason Timbs, Justin Timbs, Gary Waugh, Keith Norris, Dusty Rainey, and Tracy Laster.  Joey Timbs will serve as
honorary pallbearer.

Memorial contributions may be made to Duck Hill Baptist Church, Shiloh Baptist Cemetery Fund, or Mt. Pisgah Cemetery Fund.

us laugh. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family. May God wrap his loving arms

To the family and friends of Colie Timbs, I would like to express my deepest and heartfelt condolences. I am truly sorry
for the lost that your family is feeling. Experiencing the lost of a beloved family member is one of the hardest thing
that any of us can go thru. And because of that my thoughts and prayers are with your family. Take comfort in
knowing that God never intent for us to deal with sickness or death. But have assure in the wonderful promise that
God holds out to us. He promise each of us that very soon he is going to reunite us back with all those loved ones that
we have lost. (John 5:28,29) Until that time, cherish all the wonderful memories that you have of Mrs. Colie. These
precious memories will console the family in the days ahead.
