Jason Matthew Threet
(August 14, 1979 - February 24, 2019)

Funeral services for Jason Matthew Threet of Stewart will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, in the Oliver Funeral Home
Chapel, with burial following in the Crape Creek Cemetery at Stewart.  Rev. Brad Latham and Rev. Josh Bingham will officiate the

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 26, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.

Mr. Threet, 39, died at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson on Sunday, February 24.  He was born in Kosciusko on
August 14, 1979, to Eddie and Barbara Burton Threet.  He was a graduate of Hinds Community College and was an Information
Security Analyst for Renasant Bank.  He was a member of Crape Creek Baptist Church in Stewart, where he served as a deacon.  

Mr. Threet is survived by his parents, Eddie and Barbara Threet of Stewart; sisters, Amy Lofton (Robby) of Brookhaven and Angie Hooten
of Stewart; niece, Shelby Lofton; nephews, Trent Lofton, Landon Allen, and Collin Hooten; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and
special friends, Erin, Betty, and Joseph Schrepfer of Lake Charles, Louisiana.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Pallbearers are Josh Threet, Mark Threet, Roy Oswalt, Benjie Shearer, Joey Hood, Brian Shearer, and Jeremy York.  Honorary
pallbearers are Trent Lofton, Collin Hooten, and Landon Allen.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (, 4550
Montgomery Avenue, Suite1100 N, Bethesda, MD  20814.

I’m sure we will talk again! I will tell you how much you filled a “Lull Time”, exposing your family when mine was so
far away. My heart goes out to Laura and her family. Thanks to Jason, the Allens opened their home making it feel as
family! I will always remember hunting with you, harassing you about Texas deer tastes better. That memory I hold
tight because it was good! Also to the Threets, for Jason!

Well my young Friend, your time here is over and you’ve moved on. Your walk was outstanding and admirable!!!
