Horace Allen Simpson
(December 21, 1940 - July 14, 2019)
Funeral services for Mr. Horace Allen Simpson of Vaiden will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, in the Oliver
Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in the Winona Garden of Memory. Rev. Dean Stewart and Rev. David
Westmoreland will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Devin Roberts, Alex Crouch, Landon Wilson, Justin Hollis,
Brad Williams, and Doug Manley.
Visitation will be Tuesday, from 10:00 a.m. until service time, at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Simpson, 78, died at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada on Sunday, July 14. He was born in
Carroll County on December 21, 1940, to Allen Preston and Claudia Lorene Stuart Simpson. He was a retired welder
for Anel Corporation and a member of Vaiden Baptist Church. Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his parents;
his son, Walter Allen Simpson; son-in-law, Pete Roberts; and two brothers, Claude Simpson and Van Simpson.
Mr. Simpson is survived by his wife, Theodora Simpson of Vaiden; four daughters, Rhodonna Roberts of Vaiden,
Tanya Wilson (Terry) of Carmack, Carla Easter (Jay) of Franklin, Tennessee, and Tracy Crouch of Phillipp; nine
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Winona Christian School Athletic Foundation, 1014 South Applegate,
Winona, MS 38967.
