Wilburn Everette "Elbo" Palmertree
(November 5, 1927 - May 25, 2017)

Funeral services for Mr. Wilburn Everette "Elbo" Palmertree of Grenada, formerly of Minter City, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 28, at
Bethany Church of God near Poplar Creek.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Rev. Lenny Maples, Rev. Charles Runnels, and Dr.
Duran Palmertree will officiate the services.  Visitation will be at the church on Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Mr. Palmertree, 89, died at his granddaughter's residence in Grenada on Thursday, May 25.  He was born in Montgomery County on
November 5, 1927, to William Emmett and Nancy Walker Palmertree.  He was a prominent farmer in Minter City from 1949 until his
retirement in 2004.  Mr. Palmertree was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Walton Chapel Church of God in Minter City.  
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Vicki Jean Bloodworth; and two sisters, Bonnie Steen and Wilma Nicholson.

Mr. Palmertree is survived by his wife, Lois Kersh Palmertree of Grenada (formerly of Minter City); his son, Bill Palmertree of Minter City; two
sisters, Faith (Dr. E.B.) Martin of Jackson and Dolly Burle of Greenville; three brothers, Dr. Duran Palmertree, Basil Palmertree, and Tom
Wade Palmertree, all of Kilmichael; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Irby Bailey, Brad Palmertree, Andy Davis, Maxie Henley, Gerald Steen, and Terry Steen.
