Benson "Sonny" Branch
(July 28, 1931 - July 19, 2019)

Funeral services for Benson "Sonny" Branch of Winona will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, at Scotland
Baptist Church near Winona, with burial following in Scotland Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Paul Trosper and Rev.
John Jacks will officiate the services.  Pallbearers will be Dewitt Branch Jr., Eric Branch, Tyler Branch, Ben Branch,
Davis Lovelace, and Chris Branch.  Honorary pallbearers are Ralph Ellison, Norton Rodgers, Lenis Pearson, Bobby
Oliver, and Danny Havens.

Visitation will be Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. until service time, at the church.

Mr. Branch, 87, died at his home on Friday, July 19, 2019.  He was born in Montgomery County on July 28, 1931, and
was the son of the late Alexander "Alex" Dewitt and Bertha Lee Box Branch.  Mr. Branch was a cattle producer and was
a former Montgomery County supervisor, serving for 16 years.  He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean
War and a member of Scotland Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Branch was preceded in death by his
wife, Mildred Welch Branch; sister, Beatrice Crump; and two brothers, Winford Branch and Dewitt Branch.

Mr. Branch is survived by his sons, Mike Branch (Marietta) of Greenwood and Bruce Branch (Lisa) of Winona; sister,
Polly Matthews of Jackson, Tennessee; four grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Scotland Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.

knowledge you two. He helped Me when I had business dealings at the county level , and He was supervisor. He was at
the opening of our business at HEATH AVIATION and supported the efforts to make improvements at the airport.
