Clara Bea Parker
(March 22, 1932 – April 8, 2018)
Clara “Bea” Parker, 86, of Carrollton, MS, went to be with the Lord on April 8, 2018. Bea was born March 22, 1932, in Black Hawk
(Carroll County), MS. Bea met Alton Randall “Randy” Parker when they were both children in Vaiden, MS, and they became great
friends and playmates. Bea and Randy married on January 13, 1948, in Winona, MS. After marrying, Bea and Randy lived across the
country, from California to Louisiana and Kentucky before settling down in Miami, Florida, and raising their family.
In Miami, Bea served her family, faith, and community as a home-maker, PTA president, and avid church member. She was a leader
in the women’s visitation group and a Sunday school teacher for many years, while Randy served as a deacon. After raising their
children in Miami, Bea and Randy moved back to Mississippi to be close to their aging mothers. Bea and Randy spent 51 years
together until Randy’s passing on May 26, 1999. They built their dream home in the country near Carrollton after years in “the shack”
raising cows and farming. Bea lived in the home they built together until her passing. She loved to fish, sew, tend to the cows, and
play Rook and Scrabble with her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Bea is survived by her four daughters, Pandra Kay Parker of Starkville, MS, Linda Gale Gardener of Carrollton, MS, Candy Bridgette
Parker Cook of Tupelo, MS, and Tricia Dawn Parker of Memphis, TN; two sons, Kenneth Randall Parker (Billie Jean) of Duck Hill, MS,
and Tommy Randall Parker of Gore Springs, MS; two sisters, Betty Joy Harville (Danny) of Elliott, MS and Rosette Rogers (Clark) of
Kilmichael, MS; three grandchildren, Lischia Parker Link (Shane) of Pembroke Pines, FL, James Randall Parker of Orlando, FL, and
Jennifer Renee Cook of Lexington, KY; five great-grandchildren, Robyn Parker, Randy Parker, Collin Link, Kyle Link, and Kensley Link;
and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Mae Ellis Sudduth Weeks; father Zeddie Parham
Sudduth; brother Jackie Clyde Weeks; and son-in-law Milton Dale Cook.
Bea’s funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, April 11, at Oliver Funeral Home in Winona. Visitation will be one hour prior
to the service. Pallbearers will be Tommy Parker, Clark Rogers, David Rogers, Charles Ellis, Gene Costillow, Stacy Daves, C.D.
