Herbert Blaylock
(April 27, 1938 - November 5, 2020)

A graveside funeral service for Mr. Herbert Blaylock of Winona will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, at New
Hope Methodist Church Cemetery in Winona.  Rev. Sam Dodd will officiate the services.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Blaylock, Tommy Blaylock, Jonathan Blaylock, C. J. Flowers, Charlie Flowers, and Timmy

Mr. Blaylock, 82, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 5, 2020.  He was born on April 27, 1938, and was the
son of the late Guy Henry and Paire Lee Bennett Blaylock.  He was a retired firefighter with the Winona Fire Department,
and a member of New Hope United Methodist Church.  He was also a veteran of the Mississippi Army National Guard and
a member of the Winona American Legion.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Blaylock was preceded in death by his first
wife, Genell Gregg Blaylock and a son, William Bruce Blaylock.

Mr. Blaylock is survived by his wife, Mattie Lue Adkins Blaylock of Winona; daughter, Patty Blaylock Flowers (Charlie) of
Winona; sons, Tommy Blaylock (Melissa) of Poplar Creek and Johnny Blaylock (Reba) of Winona; stepdaughters, Becky
Thompson of Stewart and Nancy Surrells of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; sister, Margie Shaw of Winona; brother, Robbie
Blaylock of Winona; six grandchildren, Megan Griffin, Jonathan Blaylock, C. J. Flowers, Scotty Blaylock, April Blaylock,
and Laura Blaylock; and great-grandchild, Raylan Cole Flowers.
