Mrs. Catherine Louise "Cissy" Pearson Carpenter of Winona passed away at her home on Saturday, November 14,
2020.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, at Poplar Creek Nations Baptist Church
Cemetery near Kilmichael, with Rev. Brad Beckwith officiating. Pallbearers will be James Barry Carpenter Jr., Josh
Pearson, Trevor Middleton, Walker Middleton, Nathan Jones,and James Dendy. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Norris,
Bozie Burrell, Hank Carpenter, Jamie Mims, Billy Ray Cummings, and Brooks Jones.
Mrs. Carpenter was born on May 14, 1964, to John Lester and Nancy Jo Millwood Pearson, and was 56 years old. She
was an employee of Milwaukee Tool in Greenwood and a member of Poplar Creek Nations Baptist Church near
Kilmichael. Mrs. Carpenter was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Michael "Mike" Carpenter; and her father, John
Lester Pearson.
Mrs. Carpenter's survivors include her mother, Jo Millwood Pearson of Kilmichael; daughters, DeAnna Poe Beckwith
(Rev. Brad) of Cleveland, and Amber Carpenter White of Lawton, Oklahoma; sons, Billy Kyle Poe (Nichole) of Black Hawk
and Jason Carpenter of Oxford; brothers, Johnny Pearson (Viva) of Kilmichael and Jimmy Pearson (Christy) of
Kilmichael; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, 101 N. Bolivar, Cleveland, MS 38732; or to
the Poplar Creek Nations Cemetery Fund, c/o Billy Ray Cummings, 488 Hwy 413, Kilmichael, MS 39747; or to God's
House of Hope, 800 School Street, Kilmichael, MS 39747.
