Jacqueline Brewer Gaskin
(October 1, 1928 - December 18, 2018)
A graveside service for Mrs. Jacqueline Brewer Gaskin of Long Beach, formerly of Winona, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday,
December 22, at the Asbury Cemetery in Lamar County, Alabama, with burial following. Rev. Jay Anderson will officiate the service.
Visitation will be Friday, December 21, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gaskin, 90, died at Canon Hospice in Gulfport on Tuesday, December 18. She was born on October 1, 1928, to Maurice Jackson
Brewer and Lula Mae Ellis Brewer. Mrs. Gaskin was a retired teacher's assistant for the Winona Public School District. When she
resided in Winona, she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Gaskin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,
William D. "Bill" Gaskin; and sons, James Clinton Black and John Ellis Gaskin.
Mrs. Gaskin is survived by two daughters, Dr. Levern Livingston (Larry) of Charleston, SC, and Rebecca Gaskin of Long Beach; one son,
Maurice Gaskin (Betty Ruth) of Magee; one brother, Maurice Ellis Brewer of Nesbit; six grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Baptist Children's Village, P. O. Box 27, Clinton, MS 39060.
