Funeral services for Peggy Maxwell Palmertree of Poplar Creek will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, at Bethany Church of God near Poplar Creek, with burial following in Bethany Church of God Cemetery. Dr. Duran Palmertree will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Chance Marter, Bryson Jackson, Dr. Ben Lambert, D. D. Lambert, Cory Lambert, and Bobby Lambert. Her nieces and nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 24, from 9:00 a.m. until service time, at the church.
Mrs. Palmertree, 78, passed away at her home on Thursday, February 18, 2021. She was born in Columbia, Mississippi, on December 28, 1942, to Rubin Benjamin and Merle Brodie Maxwell. She was a homemaker and a retired factory worker, and she enjoyed painting and visiting with her family and friends. She was a member of Bethany Church of God near Poplar Creek, and loved her church and church family.
Mrs. Palmertree is survived by her husband of 55 years, Basil Palmertree of Poplar Creek; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Angela Marie Palmertree; and her sister, Joan Britt.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Church of God Cemetery Fund.
