Shirley Meriwether Gill

Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Meriwether Gill of Kilmichael will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Freewill Cemetery (William Springs Church of God) in Stewart. Rev. Don Smith and Rev. Brad Latham will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Al Meriwether, Jim Meriwether, Ricky Kilgore, Chad McIntyre, Gaylon Williamson, and Winston Yeatman. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Montana and Dave Burney.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 2, from 11:00 a.m. until service at Oliver Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shirley Meriwether Gill, 84, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora. She was born in Carroll County, February 19, 1938, to Claude and Robbie Noland Meriwether. She was a homemaker and a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Mack Gill (Patricia) of Mathiston and Gray Gill (Connie) of Kilmichael; and one niece and two nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, G.B. “Butch” Gill and brother, Albert Meriwether.

  4. Gray and Mack we have great memories of your mama back in our younger days horse showing . She was so kind and lots of fun with our boys. 💔praying peace for all as she sure has peace in the arms of our Good Lord.
