William Albert Swindle, Sr.

Funeral services for William Albert Swindle, Sr. of Carrollton will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 25 at Valley Hill Church in Caroll County, with burial following in Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. Rev. Rick Shepherd will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons: Scott Baker, Chris Hall, Jason Barry, William Hall, Ben Swindle, Ryan Swindle, and Jonathan Twitchell.

Visitation will be Monday, May 25 from 2:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

William Albert Swindle, Sr., 87, passed away at Regional One Health in Memphis on Friday, May 22, 2026. He was born in Eupora on October 7, 1938, to Wyatt Franklin and Annie Mae Ingram Swindle. He was a retired maintenance manager for National Picture and Frame Factory in Greenwood. He enjoyed woodworking and working his cows. A man of many talents, there was nothing he couldn’t do. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Valley Hill Church in Carroll County.

He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Hall (Mike) of Phillipston, Sandra Barry of Carrollton, and Brenda Page (Ricky) of Carrollton; son, Allen Swindle (Renah) of Carrollton; seven grandsons; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way; sister-in-law, Hazel Swindoll of Carrollton; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Walker Swindle; and son, William Albert Swindle, Jr.
