Funeral services for Alf Woods, Jr. “Cotton” of Duck Hill will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13 in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following Mount Pisgah Cemetery near Duck Hill. Elder Eddie Hollowell will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Clay Dean, Andrew Leflore, Shed Hunger IV, Louis Ray, Mitch Leflore, and Wade Dean.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 13 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Alf Woods, Jr. “Cotton”, 78, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Vaiden Community Living Center in Vaiden. He was born on March 21, 1944 to Alf and Agnes Hayward Woods. He was a retired farmer and attended the Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sister, Patsy Woods Windham of Duck Hill; two brothers, Jimmy Charles Woods of Duck Hill and Billy Woods of Duck Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Woods Bowen.
