Andrew Frank “Fish” Grantham

April 9, 1964 – June 13, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Andy “Fish” Grantham. Andy passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024, in Wimberley, Texas, at the age of 60.

Born on April 9, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, Andy’s roots ran deep. He grew up in Winona, Mississippi, and graduated from Winona High School, class of 1982. Throughout his life, his thoughtful nature, quick wit, and friendly demeanor drew people in.

These qualities made him not just a fan, but a true supporter of his favorite teams: the MSU Bulldogs, San Antonio Spurs, and Cleveland Browns. His enthusiasm was contagious, and his dedication to his teams mirrored the unwavering loyalty he showed to his loved ones.

His passion for sports extended beyond cheering from the stands; Andy was also a proud member of the Texas Association of Sports Officials (TASO), serving as a dedicated basketball and volleyball referee. In addition to his duties, he also refereed for Wimberley’s local youth league, Little Dribblers.

Andy leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory forever. He is survived by his wife, Caroline Dance-Grantham; daughter, Taylor Grantham (Tarek); step-son Matthew Benavidez (Karen); grandson Zayn Benavidez; step-son Zachary Caldwell; father Armon Grantham; step-mother Venice Grantham; brother Richard Grantham (Trudy); and sister Shannon Brown (Jim). He’s preceded in death by his mother, Rita Klouda Grantham, sister Karen Nelms (Freddy), and brother Alynn Grantham (Estelle).

Andy’s absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him. However, his memory will be forever cherished through the stories we share, the laughter we echo, and the countless lives he enriched with his thoughtful, funny, and friendly spirit.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor Andy’s passions for coaching and refereeing by requesting donations to Spurs Give in any amount. If you’d like to learn more about Spurs Give, you can find them online https://spursgive.org.
