Annette Oliver Bigler, born March 14, 1938, in Houston, Mississippi, passed away February 1, 2023. Born Barbara Annette Oliver, she was the daughter of the late Wade Lamar Oliver and Claudine Wilson Whittle Oliver both of Winona, Mississippi. Her youngest sister Sylvia McComiskey preceded her in death. Annette Bigler, was the widow of the late Henry Clay Bigler, Jr., a well-known banker in the previous century, he originally of Morgan City, Louisiana, died in New Orleans.
Annette Bigler is survived by her daughter, Carrie Annette (Quackenboss) Steele, from her first marriage to the late Lieutenant Colonel John W. Quackenboss of Vicksburg, Mississippi. She is survived by her beloved twin sons, Clay Nicholas Bigler of Lexington, Kentucky, and Wade Randolph Bigler of their hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. Annette Bigler is also survived by her wonderful grandchildren, Adelaide and Liam Bigler as well as her middle sister, Katherine Mollere of New Orleans, her best friend Gretchen Whittier of upstate New York and her daughter Beth LeGendre of New Orleans. She is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as her first cousin Bobby Oliver of Winona, Mississippi.
A Graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 1, at Scotland Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Randy Bridges will officiate the service.
