Ethel Beatrice “Bea” Nichols

March 1, 1927 – November 16, 2024

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Beatrice “Bea” Nichols of Harleston, MS, formerly of Winona, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Winona Garden of Memory. Rev. Tracy Putnam will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Dell Blaylock, Bradley Blaylock, David Collins, Skip Newman, Steve Van Buren, and Ralph Montalvo.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 23, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bea Nichols, 97, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024, at her home in Harleston, MS. She was born on March 1, 1927. Mrs. Nichols was a homemaker. Prior to retirement, she also co-owned Nichols Auto Parts in Winona.

She is survived by her grandson, Lonnie Ladell “Dell” Blaylock, Jr. (Ann) of Harleston; great-grandson, Bradley Warner Blaylock (Meagan) of Grand Bay, AL; great-great-granddaughter, Lainey Jo Blaylock; granddaughter, Ledatha Hubbard (Roscoe); brothers, Jimmy Knight (Martha) of Troy, AL and Thomas “Bud” Knight (Betty) of Winona; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Henry and Gertie Lee Donahoo Knight; husband, Ralph Nichols; daughter, Judy Carroll Nichols Blaylock; grandson, Bradley Scott Blaylock and brother, Kenneth Molton “Moat” Knight.

  1. Such a beautiful lady. I always enjoyed seeing her when she and Ralph stopped in to visit at Napa. I will be praying for her family.

  2. SUCH A SWEET LADY. WE KNEW HER WHEN SHE LIVED IN FAYETTE, AL. SHE MADE THE VERY BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE I HAVE EVER HAD. SHE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED.
