  2. Bertie Grace (as we always called you ), I wish we could have seen you all and visited again after we all left North Maple Baptist Church. What a wonderful time as well as learning about the Lord! I really miss that time…. I WILL see you again….love ya Leta Snider Garrison

  3. Bertie Grace, all the memories from North Maple Baptist Church come flooding in when one of our gang goes on to heaven. We did have fun and were taught a lot about the Lord from some fantastic parents who lead the youth group. Those teachings strengthened me up to this day .. love you, Leta

  4. While growing up on South Anna in Stuttgart, I felt I was part of the Hatfield family. I agree with Leta, we were also family at North Maple Baptist church, worshiping and enjoying our Christian family. Larry was one of my best neighborhood friends, playing horseshoes, riding bikes, swinging in my tire swing and kids being kids. Those were the “good old days”. Bertie Grace, Ann and Martha were my big sisters. And Mrs. Hatfield (Mary) was the sweetest kindest lady. I can still see her sitting in the nursery rocking those babies, sometimes two at the time. I remember when my mother would put wax on our hardwood floors, she would invite all the kids to come over and sit on old shirts and pull each other around to buff the floor! I remember the Bridal and Baby Showers, when the ladies would get together to make the cakes and punch. What memories.

I am looking forward to the “Home Going” in the sweet bye and bye, when we can all meet on that beautiful shore. My love and condolences to Bertie Grace’s family.
