Billy “Bill” Green

Graveside services for Billy “Bill” Green of Kosciusko will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, at Reed’s Chapel Cemetery in Stewart, with Rev. Randy Bridges officiating. 

Billy “Bill” Green, 78, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at St. Dominics Hospital in Jackson. He was born in Stewart to Andrew and Bertha Nora Green on August 21, 1945. He was a retired sawyer for Hankins Lumber Company and the former TMA. He enjoyed playing his guitar, singing and watching football. He was a member of Reeds Chapel Baptist Church in Stewart.

Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Yvonne Green of Kosciusko; daughters, Glenda Dickerson (Allen) of West, Linda Cummings (Randy) of Weir, Billy Bright (Carl) of Stewart, and Cindy Hess (Bill) of Gore Springs; sister, Mable Jacks Braswell of Stewart; brother, Bob Green of Eupora; eighteen grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ann Massey; two sisters, Mazel Herard and Shirley Cannon; three brothers, James L. Green, Exel Green and Doris Green and great-grandson, C.W. “Tripp” Bishop, III.
