Graveside services for Mrs. Bonnie Louise Raney of Vaiden, MS will be held at Midway Methodist Church cemetery near Vaiden at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Mr. Durward Stanton will officiate the service.

Mrs. Raney passed away Thursday, August 28, at the Vaiden Community Living Center at the age of 95. She was born to Dan and Hattie Cable on May 30, 1930. Mrs. Raney was a woman of faith and a passionate reader. Flowers and plants brought her much joy as well as watching her favorite basketball, football and softball teams.

Mrs. Raney is survived by her son, Jackie Collins and daughter-in-law, Evon; her daughter, Debbie Sonnier and son-in-law, David; four grandsons, Danny Collins and his wife, Kristi, Tim Collins and his wife, JJ, Josh Sonnier and his wife, Alaynie and Tyler Sonnier; three great grandchildren, Morgan Russom and her husband, Chad, Cofield Collins and Owen Collins; one great great granddaughter, Linley Russom and cousin, Harry Sparkman and his wife, Rose.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Raney; her daughter, Tammie R. Bordelon; her son, Mike Collins and sister, Dorothy “Dimple” Gibson.

Pallbearers will be Harry Sparkman, Brandon Smith, Stanely Devine and her four grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Russom and Kenny Lofton.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all at Vaiden Community Living Center for their compassion and care provided to Mrs. Bonnie during her stay. Their kindness, love and support brought comfort not only to her, but to all who loved her. The family would like to thank Baptist Hospice for their care in her final days and a special thank you to Starlet for her exceptional love and care. A special and deeply felt thank you to her son and daughter-in-law, Jackie and Evon Collins for their patience, love, and unwavering dedication as they opened up their home to her until her move to Vaiden Community Living Center. Heartfelt and deep appreciation as well to Harry Sparkman for his patience, love, and unwavering dedication as he tended to her every need, ensuring she remained surrounded by warmth, dignity, and the love of family during her stay at Vaiden Community Living Center.
