A memorial service for Brenda Lee Tucker Henson of Winona will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 12:00 p.m. in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home.
Brenda Lee Tucker Henson, 64, passed away at her home in Winona on Monday, March 21, 2022. She was born in Sunflower County on January 5, 1958 to Harold Edgar and Mattie Louise Gooden Tucker. She was the manager of Bridges Kwik Way in Winona for many years and enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. It’s undeniable that Mrs. Brenda’s calling in life was in child care. This is evident in the hundreds of children she babysat over the years to whom she was affectionately known as “Nana”. Parents of the community could count on her to provide a safe loving place for their children when they were away. She was a staunch Autism advocate.
Mrs. Henson is survived by her daughter, Cori Henson Neese of Winona; two sons, Jeromy Henson of Winona and Trent Henson of Winona; two sisters, Kathy Denley of Greenwood and Carolyn Randall (Dwight) of Greenwood; three brothers, Frank Tucker (Laura) of Winona, Darrell Tucker (Teresa) of Brandon, and Daniel Tucker (Terry) of Booneville; lifelong companion, Robert E. “Bob” Henson; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Ann Tucker; and three brothers, Eugene Tucker, James Tucker, and Larry Tucker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Autism Speaks at www.autismspeaks.org.
