Carlene Jacks Brister

Funeral services for Mrs. Carlene Jacks Brister of Winona will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, at First Baptist Church in Winona, with Rev. Hugh Bland and Rev. Jay Anderson officiating. The committal service will be held immediately following in the sanctuary. Pallbearers will be Josh Smith, Colby Brister, Collin Brister, Brandon Clark, Coy Peterson, Stephen Chavez, and Andy Brister.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Carlene Jacks Brister, 91, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora. She was born to Will Tom and Iris Patridge Jacks on June 6, 1932. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Winona, where she attended Mrs. Helen Fisackerly’s Sunday School class and was a member of the Winona Eastern Star Chapter. She was a cosmetologist and homemaker.

Mrs. Brister is survived by her daughter, Judy Brister Smith (Jim) of Eupora; sons, Billy Guy Brister (Nancy) of Eupora and Bobby Brister (Joyce) of West Point; sisters, Joyce Jenkins of Carrollton, GA and Corrine Johnson of Morton; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Guy Brister; son, Charles Thomas “Chuck” Brister; sisters, Vivian Haile and Charline Coleman (her twin); and brother, William Patridge “Pat” Jacks.
