A graveside service for Charles Anderson Holt Sr., of Coila, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10 at Coila Cemetery in Coila. Rev. Terry Corley will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Benji Robertson, Michael Carpenter, Lane Bowen, Bill Downs, Joey Robertson, and Jonathan Holt. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Gregg, Craig Archment, Earl Smith, James Howard, David Cheek, and Miller Beard.
Charles Anderson Holt Sr., 92, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in Coila. A lifelong resident of Coila, he was born there on October 8, 1933, to Omer and Sylvia Williams Holt. He was a United States Army veteran of Korea and a retired logger and truck driver for H & H Logging. Earlier in life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. His later years were spent doing what he loved the most, spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Sue Holt of Coila; three daughters, Debra Ann Richardson (Mike) of Cherokee, Alabama, Angela Carpenter (Michael) of Carrollton, and Darlene Robertson (Benji) of Coila; thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his most loving and loyal companion, Trixie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Anderson “Chuck” Holt Jr.; brother, J. T. Holt; and sister-in-law, Bernice Holt.
