Charles Edmond Lowery

May 27, 1939 – July 19, 2023

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Edmond Lowery of Vaiden will be held on Friday, July 21, at 2:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Winona. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Vaiden, MS. Rev. Billy Little and Rev. George Mims will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be his fellow Masons. Members of Southside Baptist Church and Winona Masonic Lodge will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be Friday, July 21, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Winona.

Mr. Charles Edmond Lowery, 84, went to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family at his residence in Vaiden on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. He was born on May 27, 1939, to Clyde Edmond and Annie Ramage Lowery. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Winona, a U.S. Army Veteran, and a member of the Winona Masonic Lodge. Before retiring, he worked for Anel Corporation and Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Lowery is survived by his wife, Maxine Cook Lowery of Vaiden; daughter, Wanda Lowery Blaylock (David) of Winona; son, Charles Edmond Lowery, Jr. of Vaiden; sisters, Shelby Nobles and Margaret Brumley, both of Tishomingo; brother, Clarence Lowery (Tho) of Tishomingo; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

  2. So sorry to hear about the passing of Mr Lowery. I went to work for THMH at 16 working with Mr.Lowery. I will cherish the many memories we shared in the maintenance building. Our prayers are with his family.
