Funeral services for Mr. Corey Spencer Welch of Hattiesburg, formerly of West, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, at North Winona Baptist Church with burial following in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery near West, MS. Rev. Britt Johnston, Rev. Ryan Vaughn and Rev. Frank Vaughn, III will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Richie Gehrett, Howie Gehrett, Chad James, Matt James, Joe Downs, and Ryan Vaughn.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 6, from 2:00 p.m. until service time at North Winona Baptist Church.
Corey, age 29, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born March 5, 1993, in Grenada, MS. He was a member of The Grove Church in Hattiesburg, MS and the gaming community group, The Ensem Family.
Corey is survived by his parents, Susan “Susie” Vaughn Welch of Hattiesburg and Henry W. Welch of West; his sister, Carly Suzette Welch of Woodmere, NY; his maternal grandmother, Margarita Vaughn; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dear Susie & family, I remember the day Corey was baptized outdoors at Temple in Hbg. We rejoiced to know he put his faith in our Lord that day! We thank our Lord he has a new body and mind in the arms of Jesus! We love you!
