Cozette Bryant Hamilton

June 24, 1939 – February 20, 2024

Funeral services for Cozette Bryant Hamilton of Duck Hill, MS will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, at Duck Hill Baptist Church, with burial following in Duck Hill Cemetery. Rev. Tim Buchanan and Rev. Marlon Long will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Aubrey Hamilton, Austin Hamilton, Daniel Hamilton, Aaron Cockroft, Ty Long, and Jacob Bennett.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 23, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, February 24, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Duck Hill Baptist Church.

Cozette Bryant Hamilton, 84, passed away Tuesday, February 20, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada. She was born in Vardaman, MS to Everett Hill and Bessie Gertrude Ward Bryant on June 24, 1939. She was a member of Duck Hill Baptist Church, where she enjoyed all aspects, such as, the flower committee, WMU, Vacation Bible School and GA’s, etc. She loved tending to her flowers, decorating and serving her community. She loved her family and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her sons, Perry Hamilton (Lisa) of Duck Hill, Tad Hamilton of Slate Springs, and Stacy Hamilton of Eskridge; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other people that she considered her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wayne Hamilton; sisters, Virginia Mae Edington, Kate Robertson, and Fairy Mayhan; brothers, Kenneth Bryant, Wayne Bryant, Donald Bryant, and Everett “Buddy” Bryant.

  1. So sorry to hear about Cozette. Cozette was such a sweet loving lady and will be greatly missed. Praying the Lord will hold each of you close and give you peace during this difficult time.
