Cynthia Kay (Cindy) Welch Wallace went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Cindy was born and raised in Vaiden, MS. She was a graduate of Winona Christian School. Cindy attended Moorhead College for one year and received her Cosmetology Degree from Holmes Junior College.
Cindy is survived by a daughter, Maddie Hornsby of Brandon, MS; a son, Shelton Wallace of Starkville, MS; the apple of her eye, one grandson, Lucas James Hornsby; her parents, Robert and Ora Mae Welch of Vaiden, MS; two sisters, Sherry Blaylock (Mark) of Vaiden, MS and Kim Castille (Leroy) of Vaiden, MS; and one brother, Robbie Welch (Carrie) of Kilmichael, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends that loved her dearly.
She will be so missed. She was our hairdresser, our party planner, and our beach lover.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 10 a.m. at Vaiden Methodist Church in Vaiden, MS.

Cindy was my classmate. She was so sweet and she laughed a lot. We only saw each other a few times after high school. She was always the same sweet Cindy each time I saw her. I know her family will miss her tremendously. Rest In Peace sweet girl. God Bless and comfort each of you is my prayer.

Robert, Ora Mae and family, so sorry to hear about Cindy.I can’t ever remember seeing her that she didn’t have that sweet smile on her face and a hug for me. She will be truly missed. What short time we knew Cindy she always had a smile on her face and loved being with her little Luke. She was such a sweet and nice lady and knew she was loved by her family and will be greatly missed.

The miles and years kept us to far apart for to long. My heart is breaking in the loss of a dear cousin, who was always full of joy! But I have hope to one day be reunited for eternity.

All of my memories are flooding my mind of our friendship throughout the years. From our elementary days to our teenage years, on to our weddings, children, and now grandchildren. Although our lives got very busy, we never missed wishing each other a happy birthday. Cindy made such an impact on my life. We shared an amazing friendship for over 50 years. I will miss you sweet friend!
