Daniel Michael Ryan

September 12, 1949 – March 25, 2024

A memorial service for Daniel Michael Ryan of Winona, formerly of Miami, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2024, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bill Rouse will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends Sunday, April 7, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home.

Daniel Michael Ryan, 74, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at his residence in Winona. He was born near Miami, Florida on September 12, 1949, to Dan and Helen Fink Ryan. He retired from Burkes Tire Shop in Winona, but earlier in life, while in Florida, he worked in the boating industry business with his focus being on their interior construction and finishing. After his retirement, he enjoyed deer hunting and riding motorcycles. He was a highly decorated United States Marine Corps Veteran and POW of Vietnam, where among many other medals and accolades, he received a Purple Heart. He was a member of the Grenada VFW post 4488 and Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn Lanette Konig of Craig, CO; son, Daniel Morgan Ryan (Anna Brown) of Nashville, TN; seven grandchildren, Dustin Alford, Blake Andrews, Michael Barnett, Dakota Andrews, Genevieve Brantley Ryan, Macy Marie Ryan, and Daniel Mason Ryan; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
