
Graveside services for Dorothy Ann “Dot” Ross of Carrollton will be held immediately following visitation on Friday, May 26, at Midway Cemetery near Vaiden. Rev. Eddie Johnson will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Rex Johnson, Donnie Cain, Tyler Estes, Matt Hester, Kendall Blaylock, and Donald Arnold. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Tingle, Joe Carnaggio, Roe Hurst, Rivers Irby, Chase Irby, and Ernie Cain.
Visitation will be Friday, May 26, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home.
Dorothy Ann Ross, 83, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Merit Health Central in Jackson, MS. She was born on June 28, 1939, to Earnest and Lucy Lurline Scruggs Johnson. She was a member of Midway United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Ross is survived by daughter, Mary Nell Carnaggio (Jimmy) of Carrollton; son, David H. Ross, III (Tina) of Carrollton; sister, Nell Harrison of Monroeville, AL; brother, Sammy Johnson of Winona; three granddaughters, Courtney Blaylock (Kendall), Paula Estes (Tyler) and Lynn Hester (Matt); one great-grandson, Connor Blaylock and one great-grandson on the way. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Hamon Ross, Jr.; two infant children, David Michael Ross and Evelyn Ann Ross; five brothers and five sisters.

Mary Nell and Bubba, I am so sorry about Dot. I worked with her many years ago at Medart and I thought a lot of her. I know she’ll be missed greatly. We are praying for all of you
