Dovie Overstreet Crowder

A graveside service for Dovie Overstreet Crowder of Winona will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13 in Winona Garden of Memory. Mr. Bo Surrell will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Robert Shaw, Aaron Greenlee, Eric Bennett, Jay Bennett, Frank Spencer, and Bobby Beckwith. Honorary pallbearers will be Lawrence Braswell and Jerry Crowder.

Dovie Overstreet Crowder, 92, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Vaiden Community Living Center in Vaiden. She was born in Montgomery County to William Clarence and Willie Henderson Overstreet on May 18, 1930. She was a retired seamstress of McGregor Manufacturing and a member of Southside Baptist Church in Winona. She loved sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Crowder is survived by her two daughters, Sally Crowder Bennett (Bobby) of Winona and Paula Crowder Shaw (Robert) of Winona; son, Paul Crowder of Winter Springs, FL; four sisters, Louise Rogers (Seth) of Brandon, Bobbie Jean Thompson of Winona, Lillian Braswell of Cypress, TX, and Linda Beckwith (Bobby) of Winona; four grandchildren, Eric Bennett (Leslie) of Winona, Jay Bennet (Jade) of Duck Hill, Alicyn Shaw of Winona, and Adrienne Greenlee (Aaron) of Winona; three great-grandchildren, Hadden Bennett, Holden Bennett, and Ella Grace Bennett; and family friend, Frank Spencer of Muncy Valley, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Floyd Hylan Crowder; daughter, Debra Jane Crowder Ballard; son, Hylan Lynn Crowder; sister, Evelyn Laney; and two brothers, R. C. Overstreet and John Overstreet.
