
Funeral services for Dr. Dennis Alan “Denny” Hoover of Winona will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2022, at First Baptist Church in Winona, with burial following in Winona Garden of Memory. Rev. Jay Anderson will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Dennis Kelly, Bo Thompson, Matt Kelly, Jeffery Whitfield, Tom Tollison, Mark Funderburk, Keith Ware, and Russ Reed.
Visitation will be Monday, July 11, from noon until service time at First Baptist Church in Winona.
Dr. Dennis Alan “Denny” Hoover, 70, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born in Ruleville to Alvin Wallace and Irene Kyle Hoover on January 28, 1952. He was a retired Dentist and a member of First Baptist Church in Winona.
Dr. Hoover is survived by his wife, Susan Middleton Hoover of Winona, three daughters, Lauren Funderburk (Mark), Dr. Mary Catherine Hoover, and Allie Reed (Russ) all of Winona; sister, Caroline Tyler (Tom) of Shreveport, LA.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Wallace Hoover.

Sorry to find out about Denny’s passing. Pam and I have been away from Winona now for 40 years, but I enjoyed his friendship in high school and we always had a good time and a good laugh on the baseball and football field. He had a good life.
