
A funeral service for Mrs. Eva Mae Dixon Morman will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 5, at Eskridge Baptist Church in Duck Hill, MS with burial following at Red Hill Cemetery. Rev. Terry Walton will officiate the service. A visitation will be held at the church on Monday, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Brad Gary, Chad Gary, Aubrey Hamilton, Austin Hamilton, Shea Kirk, Luke Morman, Grant Reed and Joe Carlin Kirk. Honorary pallbearers will be Manly Morman, Justin Pittman, Jimmy Morman and Frank Weed.
Mrs. Morman, 91, passed away at her home in Duck Hill, MS, on April 2, 2021. She was born on August 16, 1929, in Montgomery County, MS. She was the daughter of the late Roy Ellison and Lillian Beck Dixon and the widow of the late Robert L. “Bill” Morman. Mrs. Morman loved flowers and gardening. She was a member of Eskridge Baptist Church and worked at McGregor Manufacturing in Winona and Pennaco Hosiery Mill in Grenada before retiring. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Jewel Weed, Johnnie Dixon and Rouse Dixon.
Mrs. Morman is survived by two daughters, Linda Gary Turnage of Spring Hill and Sheila Hamilton of Madison; one son, Robert Wayne Morman of Grenada; twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren , seven great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
