Eva Nell Curtis

Eva Nell Curtis passed away peacefully at her residence at Brookdale Dogwood Creek in Germantown, TN on January 27. Born in Winona, on December 9, 1927, she was preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Eva Curtis; her sisters, Olene Bryan and Margaret Alexander Pate; and her brother Holmes Curtis.

Nell loved her family and enjoyed being part of their lives. She is survived by her sister-in-law Lois Curtis of Winona; nieces, Virginia Rigamer (Craig) of New Orleans, LA; Jean Wyatt of Germantown, TN; Anne Johnson of Germantown, TN; and Carolyn Bowles (Jack) of Winona; and nephew, Clifton Curtis (Cathy) of Starkville, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews and their children.

Nell was an avid reader, a competitive bridge player and an enthusiastic sports fan. She was a retired long-time employee of the Chrysler Corporation in Huntsville, where she worked as a budget analyst. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling on group tours around the world with friends.

She was a proud alumnus of Mississippi University for Women and an active member of Huntsville First United Methodist Church.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona, MS.
