
Funeral services for Everett Morris Wells Jr. of Carrollton will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, September 10, with Rev. Randy Bridges officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn “PeeWee” Gregg, PeeWe Malone, Steve Hoffman, Bud Gardner, Howard Gardner, Willie Dixon, and Bill Vail.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 10 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home.
Everett Morris Wells Jr., 60, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona. He was born in Greenville, MS on August 18, 1966. He was a retired planer at Hankins Lumber Company and former shop manager at H&H. Earlier in life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He cherished the time he spent with his family. He was a member of Mission Baptist Church in Winona.
He is survived by two sisters, Lisa Gregg (Glenn) of Starkville and Brenda Miskelly, both of Starkville; two brothers, Kenneth Browning of Carrollton and Chuck Browning of Pensacola, FL; two special nephews, Kevin Browning (Jessica) of Winona and Morgan Browning of Winona; one great-niece, Ava Browning; and two great-nephews, Jonathan Browning and Wyatt Browning. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Jean Browning; father, Everett Morris Wells Sr; bonus dad, Robert Browning; and nephew, Jonathan Browning.
