George “Bobo” Ansley

Funeral services for George “Bobo” Ansley, of Carrollton, will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5 in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Rev. Mike Allday will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ansley, Jason Ansley, Scott Montgomery, Patrick Montgomery, Dewayne Ansley, and Timothy Ansley. Honorary pallbearers will be John Ansley and Jacob Ansley.

Visitation will be Friday, April 5 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

George “Bobo” Ansley, 80, passed away at his home in Carrollton on Monday, April 1, 2024. He was born in Carrollton on July 15, 1943, to Dewey James and Ruby Vance Ansley. He was a member of Carrollton Presbyterian Church. He worked on his family’s farm and loved and supported his family in all of their endeavors. He was a simple man who could be found whittling wood or making certain all of the garden tools were kept sharp, all while smoking his pipe tobacco.

He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Faye Ansley; and three brothers, Jim Ansley, Johnny Ansley, and Charles Ansley.
