Graveside services for Ms. Gerry Lynn Holmes Whitfield of Winona will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26 at Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery near Winona. Rev. Randy Bridges will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Michael Meadows, Sean Meadows, Dave Meadows, Skipper Grantham, Bailey McGarrh, and Ken McGarrh.
Ms. Gerry Lynn Holmes Whitfield, 76, passed away at Bolivar Medical Center in Cleveland, MS on Thursday, March 23, 2023. She was born in Starkville to Clyde Dewitt and Mary Ward Wells Holmes on February 18, 1947. She retired as a nurse of around 40 years and was very involved and an instrumental part of the Relay for Life here in Winona.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie McGarrh (Ken) of Merigold; three sons, Michael Meadows (Taylor) of Madison, Sean Meadows (Jessica) of Clinton, and Dave Meadows of McCarley; nine grandchildren, Bailey, McKenzie, Presley, Lauren, Sarah-Grace, Abigail, David, Jesse, and LeeAnna; and two great-grandchildren, Easton and Caroline. She was preceded in death by her parents.
