Funeral services for Gleda Yvonne Charlton of Vaiden will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 1 in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Charlton Family Cemetery in Vaiden. Rev. Bobby Palmertree will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Zack Shivel, Joseph Wilssens, Dylan Burrell, BJ Simpson, Dakota Simpson, and Dillon Turner.
Visitation will be Sunday, Ocotober 1 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home.
Gleda Yvonne Charlton, 75, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at her home in Vaiden. She was born in Neshoba County on July 27, 1948 to Buford and Bobbie Fulton Williams. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, James Charlton of Vaiden; three daughters, Wendy Steed (Charles) of French Camp, Stacey Marlow (Kevin) of Vaiden, and Kimberly Simpson (Barry) of Vaiden; two sons, Johnny Williams of Meridian and Jeffrey Palmer (Jamye) of Vaiden; sister, Debbie Penny of Bailey, MS; ten grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Russell Palmer.
