Funeral services for Mr. Harold Eugene Ferguson of Greenwood will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 29 in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Acona Cemetery in Holmes County. Rev. Glen Barlow will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Ray Clay, John Starks, Shaw Ferguson, Hunter Box, Cayson Cox, Ben Payne, and Parker Payne. Wayne Walker and Charlie Montgomery will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be Monday, August 29 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home.
Mr. Harold Eugene Ferguson, 81, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital. He was born in Shaw, MS to Arlis Neede and Donna Tounzen Ferguson on December 12, 1940. He was a member of the Morgan City / Itta Bena Presbyterian Church. He was a farmer and self-employed landscaper and a US Air Force Veteran.
Mr. Ferguson is survived by his daughters, Kae King (Bill) of Collierville, TN, Rae Cox (Danny) of Greenwood, and Shana Payne (Chris) of Johnson City, TN; son, Shae Ferguson (Mary Lane) of Winona; sister, Joan Stowers of Greenwood; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanette Hamel.
