Henry Grady “H.G.” Word, IV

Funeral services for Henry Grady “H.G.” Word, IV of Vaiden will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4 in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Vaiden Cemetery. Rev. Philip McRae will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Shannon Self, Chris McGlothin, Michael Eldridge, Ken McDougal, Ted Williams, and Shane Windham. Honorary pallbearers will be Donald Vowel, Henry Keys, and Milton Ammons.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 4 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Oliver Funeral Home.

Mr. Word, 49, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital. He was born in Augusta, GA on September 8, 1972 to Henry and Judye Wilcoxon Word, III. He attended Shongalo Presbyterian Church and was a self-employed paint contractor.

Mr. Word is survived by his wife, Judy Marsman Word of Vaiden; mother, Judye W. Jones of Vaiden, and step father, Marion Jones of Vaiden. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Grady Word, III.
