Jeanette Howard Palmertree, 82, of Kilmichael passed away Sunday, October 25, at Merit Health River Oaks in Flowood, MS. She was born February 10, 1944, in Starkville, MS, to Woodrow Wilson Howard and Era Mae Howard. She was a member of Kilmichael Baptist Church. She worked at Mid-State Loan/Liberty Finance for many years before retiring. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and Gigi, and nothing was more important to her or closer to her heart than her family.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Kenneth Palmertree; daughter Natalie Bullard (Ricky); sons Brandon Power (Ginger), Kenneth Wayne Palmertree, Byron Palmertree (Patricia), and Shaun Palmertree (Jackie); granddaughters Haley Velez (Yomar), Courtney Ethridge (Ryan), Amanda Palmertree (Joey Rouse), and Haley Pongetti (Johnny); grandsons Kyle Bullard (Amanda), Cameron Bullard, Luke Power, Kristian Palmertree (Emily), Damion Palmertree (Onjelica), and Tristian Palmertree (Allison); great-granddaughters Isabella Bullard and Delilah Pongetti; and great-grandsons Levi Ethridge, Stefan Velez, Aiden Linville, Joshua Rouse, and Mason Palmertree. She is also survived by her sister Vivian Bankston and her brother Larry Howard (Judy) and an extended, strongly bonded family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Jerry Howard.
Visitation will be held at Kilmichael Baptist Church Thursday, October 29, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Friday, October 30, from 10:00am to 11:00am. Funeral services will be October 30 at 11:00am with burial following at Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael, MS. Rev. Steve Parker and Rev. Dale Sorgen will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Kyle Bullard, Cameron Bullard, Luke Power, Ryan Ethridge, Damion Palmertree and Byron Palmertree. Honorary pallbearers will be David Howard, Jason Wiggins and Logan Nail.
