On Thursday, April 8, 2021, Jeffery DeWayne Rosamond, 59, passed away at Grenada Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Jeffery was born to W.T. and Alice Faye Walls Rosamond on July 5, 1961 in Greenwood, MS.Prior to an automobile accident in 1990 that left Jeffery in a long-term care facility, he was a star high school football player, an avid college and professional football fan, and he had a passion for hunting and fishing. Jeffery was a big prankster who loved to be around his family and always lived life to the fullest.Jeffery will be lovingly remembered by his children, Christopher Rosamond, Jeffery (Raquel) Rosamond, Dawn Rosamond and granddaughter Katherine. He will also be fondly remembered by his father W.T. Rosamond; brothers Bill Rosamond (Kristina), Ronald Rosamond (Rhonda); sister Pamela Howell (Randy); and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Alice Rosamond and his son Jeremy Rosamond.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 11, 2021, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Oliver Funeral Home. A graveside service will be Monday, April 12, 2021, at 11:00 am at Pine Bluff Cemetery near Poplar Creek, MS. Rev. Bobby Palmertree will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Bradley Rosamond, Christopher Thomas Rosamond, Theron Rosamond, Tyler Howell, Bill Rosamond, and Ronald Rosamond.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Pine Bluff Cemetery Fund.
