Funeral services for Jimmy Drew Bell of Starkville, formerly of Duck Hill, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with the committal service being conducted in the chapel. Rev. George “Bubba” Bland will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Brennan Eaton, Austin Wileman, Hunter Lewis, Dawson Ballard, Ben Ray, and Kevin Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be Drake Lord, Chase Lord, Alex Ballard, Rick Sinagoga, Marshall Jenkins, Bailey Eaton, Harrison Griffin, Silas Griffin, Chris Harris, Nathan Bell, and Don Bynum.

Visitation will be Friday, January 12, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Jimmy Drew Bell, 84, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, at his home in Starkville. He was born in Duck Hill on May 6, 1939, to James and Cleopatra “Cleo” Barron Bell. He was a retired carpenter and a US Army veteran. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church near Duck Hill and attended New Hope Baptist Church in Starkville.

Mr. Bell is survived by his seven daughters, Diana Bland, Janice Payne, Barbie Sinagoga, Stephanie Griffin, Mandy Eaton, Vicky Lewis, and Kristina Ballard; sister, Patricia Adolph; fourteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
