Joan Pollard Dent

May 1, 1949 – November 18, 2022

Joan Pollard Dent, 73, of Old Town, FL, formerly of French Camp and Winona, passed away Friday,  November 18, 2022.   Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., November 26, 2022 at Oliver Funeral Home, Winona, MS with an immediate private family viewing from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with Doug Atkinson officiating. Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery, French Camp, MS with no graveside services. 

Joan Pollard Dent was born May 1, 1949, to Harold Edwin (H.E.)Pollard and Irene Harris Pollard of French Camp, MS. She was a member of McCrabb Baptist Church of Old Town, Fl. She was a retired nurse from Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital, Winona, MS. She loved God, her family, and friends and enjoyed serving her community and church. 

She is survived by her husband, Charles Dent; two sons, Charlie (Leslie) Williams and Don (Tanya) Williams; two daughters Lynda (Bob) Dent Ritter and Vicky Dent; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two brothers, William Thomas (W.T.) Pollard and Harry (Wanda) Pollard.

She was preceded in death by her parents H.E. Pollard and Irene Harris Pollard; daughter Jessie Marie Williams; son Charles “Chuck” (Jean) Dent; brothers Robert Pollard, David Pollard, and Ira Pollard.
