Kathleen Moore Saffold Shackelford

June 25, 1957 – May 22, 2024

Graveside services for Kathleen Moore Saffold Shackelford, 66, who died on May 22, 2024, at her home, will be held at 10 am Monday, May 27, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Reverend Allan Bledsoe will officiate at the service. Arrangements are entrusted to Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.

Kathleen was born in Greenwood on June 25, 1957, to the late Allen and May Saffold.

Kathleen served as a speech pathologist in the Greenwood school system for over 25 years. She was an active member of North Carrollton United Methodist Church and a graduate of the University of Mississippi.

Survivors include her daughter, May Trezevant, and her husband, Taylor of Germantown, TN; son, James Shackelford, and his wife, Mary of Coila; brother, Allen Saffold, and his wife, Melanie of Olive Branch; sister, Marguerite Holt, and her husband, Lynn of Crossville, TN; and three grandchildren, Allie, John, and George Trezevant. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Shackelford; infant son, James Allan Shackelford, II; and her brother, Robert Ermon Wilson Saffold.
