Kenneth “Kenny” McCrory

***Due to weather conditions, the family has elected to have the service at 2:00 p.m. in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, rather than Moores Memorial Cemetery.***

A graveside service for Kenneth “Kenny” McCrory of Red Oak, TX will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6 at Moores Memorial Cemetery in Carroll County, with Rev. Joseph Sansing officiating. Pallbearers will be Tully McCrory, Kenneth McCrory, Ayden Smith, Blaze Smith, Rhett McCrory, Scott McCrory, and Mike Driggars. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jessie McCrory, Danny McCrory, Rolando Martinez, and Corky Thornburg.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 6 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.

Kenneth “Kenny” McCrory, 76, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Medical City Hospital in Arlington, TX. He was born in Greenwood, MS on April 22, 1949, to Jessie Kirven and Loriene Peterson McCrory. Prior to retirement, Kenny worked as a mechanic.

He is survived by his sons, Tully Russell McCrory (Marci) of Burbank, Osage County Oklahoma; brothers, Jessie McCrory, Jr. (Shirley) and Danny McCrory, both of Carrollton; grandchildren, Ashley McCrory, Terri Jo McCrory, and Kenneth McCrory, all of Ellis County, Texas; great-grandchildren, Ayden Smith, Blaze Smith, Rogue Smith, Jovey McCrory, Harlow McCrory, Isabella McCrory, Rolando Martinez and Alaya Martinez, all of Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Strickland McCrory; son, Kenneth McCrory, Jr. and brother, George Everett McCrory.

  1. IF KENNY SERVICEDIN THE NATIONAL GUARD IN GREENWOOD, THEN I RODE WITH HIM BACK AND FORTH FROM FT. BENNING, GA WHILE HE WAS IN TRAINING IN 1970. I LEFT AND WENT TO VIETNAM AND CONNECTED WITH HIM WHEN I JOINED THE GUARD IN THE YAZOO CITY UNIT. KENNY WAS A HAPPY GO LUCKY GUY. SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. EDDIE LUSE, BENTON,
