Funeral services for Marc Anthony “Stump” Woods of Stewart will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 9 in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at New Hope Cemetery near Coila. Bro. John Lumbley, Bro. Bill Mills, and Bro. Randy Bridges will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Craig Collins, Richard Grantham, Rich Grantham, Chris Varnes, Richard Stoker, Rachel Grantham, and Michael Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Herod.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 8 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home; and Sunday, August 9 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Marc Anthony “Stump” Woods, 49, passed away at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. He was born in Eupora on October 2, 1976. Before his health declined, he worked in timber harvesting as a log truck driver for Edwin Taylor and Son Logging Company. He also enjoyed camping, going to the races, and going out to eat. He was a member of North Winona Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sister, Tara Fortner (Tom) of Stewart; grandfather, Armon Gee Grantham (Venice) of San Antonio, TX; uncle, Richard Grantham (Trudy) of Hanover, MD; two aunts, Shannon Brown (Jim) of Bulverde, TX and Caroline Grantham of Winona; and a host of cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Karen Ann Grantham Nelms; father, Leonard Dale Woods; maternal grandmother, Rita Grantham; paternal grandparents, Tony and Rethal Varnes Woods; and two uncles, Alynn Grantham and Andy “Fish” Grantham.
