Margaret Ingram Patten

Funeral services for Margaret Ingram Patten, of Vicksburg, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12 at Scotland Baptist Church in Winona, with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Brian Ivey and Rev. D.W. Feaster will officiate the services. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews and honorary pallbearers will be her church family of Highland Baptist Church in Vicksburg.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 12 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.

Margaret Ingram Patten, 79, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Grenada. She was born in Winona on December 17, 1946, to Rupert Joseph and Wilma Parish Ingram. She was a retired elementary school assistant librarian in the Warren County Public School District. She was a highly dedicated member of Highland Baptist Church in Vicksburg, where she served her church family in many different areas including: small group leader and leading bible studies. The dedication to her church showed her biggest passion, which was for others to come to saving knowledge of Christ and to experience a relationship with Him like she did.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel Vermilyea (Corey) of Ellisville; her son, Robert Patten of Lake Jackson, TX; sister, Jane Jenkins (Gary) of Grenada; two brothers, Rev. Rupert Ingram Jr. (Anne) of Winona and David Ingram (Regina) of Winona; granddaughter, Kate Vermilyea; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. William R. “Bill” Patten; her infant son; and sister, Diane Welch.
