Marilyn Genette Ward of Memphis, TN passed away Monday, May 5, 2025, at the age of 64.
Marilyn was born in Memphis, TN to Roy and Helen Pace Ward on October 6, 1960. She was an Administrative Assistant for the University of Tennessee.
She is survived by her brothers, Mike Ward (Betty) and Mark Ward (Tammy); God-daughter, Patience Yates; and four nephews, Graham Ward, Grayson Ward (Tae), Pace Ward and Braedon Snipes. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, at Huntsville Church of Christ near Kilmichael with visitation from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the church. Interment will follow in Huntsville Cemetery. Mr. Nathan Wright will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Pace Ward, Braedon Snipes, Jimmy Pace, Michael Ward, Mark Ward, and David Pace.

Please accept my sincere condolences. I worked with Marilyn for over 25 years at UT. Marilyn loved the Lord , her Family and Friends. If you ever came in contact with her, she was your friend. I could share tons of fun times I had with Marilyn. Michael, and Mark, I am praying for you all.
I had the pleasure of working with Marilyn as well at UT. She enjoyed her job. She took pride in her work and she loved the students. My heart was heavy when I heard of her passing. I send my condolences to her family. Take comfort in knowing that she loved you all and she can now rest.
