Funeral services for Myrtle Ann Dedmon Longmire Tart, of Florida, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following at Winona Garden of Memory. Rev. Randy Bridges will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Curt Holcomb, Richard Pitts, Richard Longmire, Nick Billings, Alex Longmire, Michael Longmire, and Shawnley Sam.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Tart passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, at her daughter’s residence in Athens, AL, at the age of 86. She was born in Texas to Richard Burton and Blois Bernice Barr Dedmon on December 1, 1939.
She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Pitts (Mike), Robyn Holcomb (Les), Deborah Marshall (Al) and Wanda Stewart; sons, Louis Longmire (Rina), Richard Longmire (Tanya), Travis Longmire (Donna) and Jimmy Tart; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Cecil Tart and her siblings.
